A month

I am terrible at this blogging thing. It's not like I don't have a lot to say...I have plenty...just need to put it somewhere on a regular basis.

So...The Bachelorette...she's so annoying. I got past all the boys getting out of the limo and then fell asleep during the commercal break. I woke up again to Skipper (what I will be referring to her as from now on because she reminds me of Barbie's annoying little sister) trying nudge the drunk guy awake. I turned off the TV and went to sleep for good. Now I will have to waste part of tonight attempting to watch it again, meaning I'll have to skip Teen Mom 3, which means my whole night-time couch time will be thrown off completely. Ugh. I think I may have to watch something during the day tomorrow while the little one naps.

So this past weekend, the fam all went to a kids' birthday party in Bel Air. The party was held in the back yard of the parents' house which is really not a backyard because it's basically a deck that wraps around the back of the house, which I believe is on stilts. Anxiety level...2-3. As we step out onto the deck, anxiety is raised to a level 9 as I see a large pen pool filled with huge kid-enticing beach balls and inflatable pool toys. No lifeguard - but hey there is a bartender serving margaritas and rum concoctions. Anxiety level 11. There was not a single activity for the kids to do except run around the open pool and try to reach enticing inflatable toys. The birthday kid is turning 4 and it's great that said kid can swim, but c'mon -you have to know that 80% of the kids you invited are probably not experienced swimmers. In retrospect, I probably should have left the littlest Berg at home, but I wanted to whole family to have some time together. Well, that was clearly not going to happen as Damon was always on top of one kid and I was always tailing another. Then things got weird. I don't know quite how to explain it, except that they array of party-goers scared me. I just got that 'yucky' vibe. It was just a very dark ambiance. I had to question why some of these people were even there. We stayed about and hour and half and then took the kids home to give them a good scrubbing. Remember the shower scene in Silkwood? That was me after I got the kids to bed.
